The Yijing (I Ching) is an ancient Chinese text exploring the symbolic representation of yin and yang. It is a rich source of wisdom that describes how we can best live in harmony with the forces that shape life. It has been used for thousands of years as a guide in times of uncertainty.
Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) is a traditional Chinese martial art based on the physical embodiment of yin and yang. Its techniques blend softness and strength, fostering a firmly rooted centre. This core provides the support for the development of sensitive listening that facilitates an appropriate response.
Together the Yijing and Taiji Quan provide a framework for inner training which encompasses the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of being.
